TV coverage of Rugby Union in the United Kingdom
 

Sky Sports has wrapped up most of the rugby coverage in the UK (for BBC coverage see below). Its mainstay are rights to all of England's home internationals at Twickenham, both in the Six Nations and Autumn Tests, plus selected other games such as overseas tours.

During the domestic season (August to May) they transmit a live English Guinness Premiership game on Saturday afternoons plus selected games from the Powergen Cup. Sky also shows the Tri-Nations series live and weekly Super 14 game live. It also has other selected global rugby live, including the NPC and Currie Cup final.

Sky also have broadcast rights to to the British and Irish Lions tours. For further details see the  Sky Sports Rugby Schedule

However, the majority of the Six Nations internationals, as well as the increasingly popular European Cup, are all shown on the BBC live or in a highlight package.

The BBC for the likes of Scotland, Wales and Ulster also tend to show the related internationals as the Celtic League well more European Cup action. For more information, try the  BBC Website.

Also Eurosport, available with most satellite packages, shows Heineken Cup games live.

In Wales, all Wales' Six Nations games (except against England in England) are broadcast live by BBC Wales and S4C digital shows many of the home internationals with Welsh language commentary.

 S4C Digital also shows Celtic League games and is available throughout the UK, on a free-to-view basis, but only via the Sky Digital network.
